ATC 1 M.R. Trade Break Away 2

So, long overdue ATC trade with , I hope he doesn't think I've forgotten. Got rather busy, but finally sat down today and colored the first, now working on the second.

I sincerely hope you find it okay; I liked it at first, but now looking at it, I feel like it's not how my first ATC should have looked. If it is not at all what you had in mind, let me know and I will gladly redraw and try again, I feel I need the practice anyway

To me it's hard to even tell what this is. Or at least the black part; that's a black petunia I wanted it to be breaking away from a flower entrapping it. Also my scanner is as awful as ever, so another bad photo xD

He asked specifically for drawings that looked like two very old works of mine. This [link] is the first one. I did it about 5 years ago I think hope it's at least slightly better than back then

After today though, and seeing LOTS of other fantastic artwork (such as ), I just realllllly don't enjoy the way I do things. At all. Any advice on how to improve and do new things? I primarily work with pencils and I think I'm butchering them now x'D
